Collection Development

Rainbow Book Company provides an online collection development tool which allows for the uploading of MARC records and the ability to run a complete collection analysis based upon the current national standards. This online collection development tool can provide useful information regarding the weeding of older titles along with specific information related to the breakdown of the collection by Dewey number. We will also provide booklists which will address any deficiencies in any Dewey areas. This service can be provided directly by a Rainbow representative or by the media specialist.

The collection development tool on our website (Smart Search®) also allows for an advanced inventory search of our titles.
